Tradition is where we start, not the answer.
Which plants can be eaten, how to cook them, what to pair them with: much of the medicine–food tradition comes from generations of experience. That is where we begin, not where we stop.
BREYDO Phyto Lab · 倍朵清禾实验室
BREYDO Phyto Lab makes food in the medicine–food tradition. We check traditional knowledge against modern research, entry by entry, in our own database, then distil it into drinks people can actually have.
Which plants can be eaten, how to cook them, what to pair them with: much of the medicine–food tradition comes from generations of experience. That is where we begin, not where we stop.
Which compounds an ingredient contains, which targets they can reach, which pathways they touch: research offers many leads, and plenty of gaps.
Ingredients, compounds, targets and pathways are linked layer by layer, and every link records its evidence type and its limits. Active in a cell is not effective in a person; what hasn’t been tested, we mark as still under study.

BREYDO Database
Ingredient → compound → target → pathway. Every link records its evidence type and its limits: enzyme, cell and receptor assays are kept apart, because active in a cell is not the same as effective in a person. Where it hasn’t been tested, we say it is still under study.
1,600+ documented interactions · data as of Oct 2026
